Time & Money Saved

Using Drislide Lubricants saves you Time & Money.

Drislide lubricants save you time because you don't have to lubricate nearly as often as other lubricants. Our Multi-Purpose lubricants last longer than competing brands and will keep things running smoothly long after other lubricants would have faded away.

Drislide lubricants save you money as well, requiring less lubricant to be applied than competing brands for an even more efficient lubrication.

Less Lubricant, Less Time, Less Money.

How Drislide Works

Posted by Norm Musgrove on February 08, 2013 (0 Comments)

Drislide Multi-Purpose Lubricants are a very thin liquid, made up of mostly mineral spirits as the carrier for molybdenum Disulfide (Moly).

The Moly settles at the bottom of the container and needs agitated or shaken up before you apply the Drislide. Once the moly is agitated and now suspended in the mineral spirits, the mineral spirits carry the moly across the application (metal surface). The mineral spirits will completely evaporate in 10-15 minutes, leaving behind a nice thin layer of dry moly film that has bonded to the metal surface and will stay there to lubricate longer then other lubricants. And the best part about the Drislide is that it will not collect dust, dirt or other airborne particles, and it repels moisture.

Once applied and the mineral spirits evaporate, the moly film withstands 100,000 psi and has a temperature range of -20°F up to 1000°F.

Needle Value

Posted by Norm Musgrove on February 08, 2013 (0 Comments)

Drislide is amazing as is, but for those small crevices and hard to reach areas, our needles are second to none! Each needle is hand made in the US and is a metal applicator that twists easily onto the top of any of our four ounce bottles.

Once the needle applicator has been applied to the top of the 4oz spout-top bottle, you will be able to apply just a drip of Drislide to the smallest of applications. The needle applicator comes in very handy for lubricant cables on motorcycles, bicycles, ATV's and any other equipment that has cables, whether in a cable sleeve or exposed.

The way the needle is designed (very thin), you are able to place the tip of the needle in the opening of the cable sleeve. Then you squeeze the bottle just enough, to allow the Drislide to work its way down the inside of the cable sleeve, letting gravity do the work. Lubricating the cable to the point of preventing freeze-up or snapping, rust, or corrosion. Extending the life of the cable.

Our four ounce bottles and needles have been used for decades by motorcycle and bicycle shops across the nation. Any that use it, from Harley to Janus to countless others, have all raved about both the quality of the Drislide and the time saved with how easy it is to use.

Fragile Needle

Posted by Norm Musgrove on February 08, 2013 (0 Comments)

The Drislide Needle Applicator is Fragile. Made of a thin steel stem, hand crimped to a base or hub, to self-thread the needle applicator onto the top of our 4oz plastic spout top bottles. While the needles are 100% metal, it is a thin needle meant to apply very small amounts of Drislide, so be careful when using.

Needle may also clog. This happens when the rubber tip is left off the top of the needle for too long. A black rubber tip is provided with every needle and should be placed back on the tip of the needle when not in use. If the rubber tip is left off the top of the needle too long, air gets down in the needle and can dry up the moly inside the needle, causing a small clog.

Suggestions on unclogging the needle: Run warm water through the needle to loosen or free up any small or fresh clogs. For more stubborn clogs, allow to soak overnight in mineral spirits, rubbing alcohol, or a degreaser parts cleaner. After an overnight soaking, if available, blow air through the needle to clear. The use of a can of compressed air may help. We've been told that some have had success threading a thin string through the needle like a guitar string to push through and break up the clog, and have even had one customer use a piece of uncooked thin pasta to break up a clog!

4oz bottle

Drislide Multi-Purpose Lubricants are a thin liquid, made up of mineral spirits as the carrier for Molybdenum Disulfide (Moly).

The Moly settles at the bottom of the container and needs agitated or shaken up before you apply the Drislide. Once the Moly is agitated or shaken up, there is a little pressure build-up in the container. When opening the 4oz plastic spout-top bottle, you must be careful and open slowly to prevent the flip top from popping open and spitting Drislide all over.
